Putting in the Pipes - Part 1

It was Leeder's first day today, so we put him to some hard work. The plan was to work more on running some conduit from the house to the garage.



We spent a couple hours at Home Depot piecing parts together and finalizing the design. We bought everything we needed and headed back to Mihai's to get the project rolling.



Once we straighted out the trench a little, putting the pipe together was a cinch. The pipes are threaded, and after putting some sealing putty on the threads, they just screw together.



After getting one pipe in the ground, the sun got the best of us. Sunset was approaching and we still had a second pipe to lay. We spent too much time socializing and grilling, not necessarily a bad thing, but as a result we didn't get as much done as we hoped.
