Wireless Plants

We have ordered a single solar panel, which will be here soon, but until then we have a few last things to do to the shop. Up until now, most of our efforts were focused on creating and improving the shop environment. In order to do some of the many projects we have planned, we'll need a place to work. Infinite time could be spent building and optimizing a work space, but then that would defeat the purpose.



We realized that most of the pictures on the gallery show a lot of the stuff we've been working on, but doesn't show the shop layout as a whole. The shop has come a long way since we started, so the most recent album has lots of pictures of the shop.



Today was also the first day for our newest members. Two plants which we picked up from Home Depot. The plants will help to keep the air clean and to provide a nice work environment for us. Since the garage gets hot, we chose plants that don't need too much watering, and can survive in a humid garage with little direct sunlight.



This fellow is called a Zebra plant, which is native to Brazil. After making a little shelf for this guy, he had a place of his own, below the window.



Mihai's dad finished running one of the pipes for us, the one for the internet. We had internet in the garage now, but we were still lacking wireless. I brought over on old wireless router, and Mihai had it working in no time. One of the last things that was needed for the work space was internet. The resource of internet is extremely useful. I can't imagine how we would get along without it... ..probably tons of books and trips to the library.
