Thanks Szabi! Hydraulic Press and CutOff Saw

Some good news! We just received a hydraulic press and cut-off saw from my good friend Szabi. The goods are in working condition but were damaged in a fire. He spotted them and figured we could use the tools. I immediately said yes and later that day Mihai and I made the pick up.




Here is the press, which you can see is badly charred. The jack works and the bottom plate is adjustable for different heights.




Here is the cut-off saw, which also survived the fire with some charring and a burned handle. We plugged it in and the motor still runs, so it's good enough for us.




The jack is fully extended. We are pretty consumed with our solar and foundry projects, so for now these tools will stay charred. Until we really need them, we don't have time to refurbish them. The cut-off saw will probably be needed before the press. Once we get to it, you can expect pictures and an update. Once again we thank Szabi for thinking of us.
