Off-Grid Battery Backup Garage - Part IV, Battery Charging with Solar

How we connected the solar panels to the batteries.

The solar panels are connected to only one device - the Tristar in Battery Charge Mode.

To reiterate, the two wires from the solar array are terminated in a negative and positive bus bar.



From those bus bars, we take two wires (bright green) and connect them to the Tristar in Battery Charge Mode.



This Tristar will take the electricity from the solar panels, adjusts the current to match what the battery terminals need and then give out this adjusted electric current through the battery terminal connections (bright blue wires). These can also be seen in the picture above.
