Forgot to take before pictures of the garage and if Nick hadn't reminded me I would have forgotten to take any at all. The picture below is from the tool shed next to the garage and while the garage wasn't as bad (I could park the car in there) it gives some good idea of the mess we had to work with.

We ended up separating the trash from useful materials.

After some barbecue we headed out to home depot and bought a decent shelf for $70 or so and put together a drafting table I got as a gift from dearest Liz.
