Here is a picture of the fence with grape vines that runs along the back of Mihai's yard. We want to run some electrical conduit from the house to the garage. This way we can run internet and electricity out there. There is power out there right now, but we have plans to expand our power needs in the garage. Also, once we have some solar panels or other renewable energy sources, we'll need to tied that in to the house electrical, either from the house or from the garage.
By the time I made it to Mihai's, he already starting digging. And man was it hot out.
We were able to get rid of the vines and start some kind a trench.
Here is the pile of vines we tore up. At this point, we realized we probably shouldn't have been doing this in the middle of the day in the heat. So after a break we decided to leave the trench for now and move onto to the new work bench.
After cooling down from all the shoveling, we sketched up our design for the new work bench. We wanted to make sure it was large enough for a solar panel. That way there is room to have the panel on the bench, and room for tools and space to work on the panel. We decided to go with a 4'x6' bench. Off to home depot we went, for 2x4's, plywood, engr. board, screws, and caster wheels!
We cut up all the 2x4's and after that we were too tired to do anything else. The heat really took a lot out of us that day.
Oh yeh, during the week Mihai's dad put a window in the garage for us. YES! Natural lighting and circulation!
