Our first shelf

Yesterday we constructed a new shelf made of cheap metal braces from Home Depot and the same plywood + finished top (Eucatex) as the table below it. In addition, we got some things we need to do.

But first a pictures break:

Kelli was also very nice to purchase some Craftsman work stools for us. Ooo aaa:

They don't feel fully sturdy but are very comfortable. Nick being the natural quality control kinda guy that he is, will break anything if it's not up to his standards. We will see how they fare...

Here are some immediate future plans:

1. Run Cat6 cable to the garage for internet and network access to, this server for example.
2. Create additional work benches on wheels so we can move them around, and even park the car in the garage if necessary.
3. Create some tool holders, which need to be CADed up first.
4. Run the garage workshop purely off of renewable power (Solar). This is a good way for us to learn and practice. On the same topic, learn electrical codes.
5. Add some ventilation for the garage to take the hot air out.
6. Create some sunroofs for natural light.
7. Install additional lights (first need energy).
8. Put in a window to the garage facing the backyard.
9. Mount climbing rocks.
10. Get a Windows or Linux workstation and printer in there.
11. Devise a dust collection system.
12. Create a map of the universe on the garage door.
13. Strong like bull.
14. Stop at bullet point 14.
